In a changing work environment, where conditions require organizations to continuously work to optimize processes and widen the availability of knowledge, SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) has exemplarily introduced its new financial portal. The portal has become an important resource for handling financial and administrative tasks and supporting new and existing employees by offering a user-friendly and intuitive interface.
SLU's financial portal is a knowledge bank where employees can find help and guidance to perform their tasks effectively. The portal is divided into different categories and sub-portals, making it easier for the employee to find the right information. For example, a special part of the portal is aimed at new employees and gives them a welcoming introduction to the organization. Training material is also available in a separate "Producer portal", which can be navigated via the financial portal for the employees involved in producing guides for SLU themselves.

In addition to guides aimed at finance employees, the portal has a personalized overview page that offers the employees quick access to their favourite guides and a bulletin board that highlights specific guides that are particularly relevant at the moment.
Kevin Molnár, Systemekonom och portalens administratör, berättar vidare:
"The financial portal not only functions as a tool for solving work tasks but also as guidance for how our processes and routines should be carried out within the organization. Through continuous review of manuals and guides, we ensure that our work routines are evaluated and that knowledge of our processes is documented. In this way, information about the most efficient way to perform a task reaches all users in the organization. In addition, something as simple as linking to our financial handbook on the intranet has been greatly appreciated, saving our users time and making the information more accessible.”
Despite the wide variety of widgets and functions, SLU maintains a clear and well-structured portal that makes it easy for users to navigate. SLU's financial portal is a brilliant example of how to facilitate employees' daily work and promote a corporate learning culture. By offering an intuitive portal for knowledge support, the portal inspires employees to be productive and engaged in their work tasks. We at InfoCaption think this is an excellent source of inspiration for any organization that wants to promote learning within its operations. Congratulations, SLU, to the guide of the month!
Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences receives the Guide of the Month award
Every month, we at InfoCaption appoint the Guide of the Month, which is a guide that we want to highlight a little extra because of the value it creates in the organization. As a thank you to the person(s) who created the Guide of the Month, we donate SEK 1,000 monthly to Hand in Hand Sweden, which fights poverty by creating more jobs in vulnerable countries. Hand in Hand works with the "help to self-help" model, which aligns with InfoCaption's mission "to make it easier for employees to help each other".
