All businesses have a need for learning. Many also need the same type of learning as many businesses work in the same areas and therefore have similar skill requirements. This is particularly clear in the public sector and even more specifically for municipalities that across the country have similar tasks and training needs to a large extent. Reasonably, every municipality should not have to create exactly the same education, as it is often a waste of resources linked to time and money. Collaboration and sharing is simply key factor in the efficient use of common resources.
Many initiatives are underway to share knowledge between businesses in the public sector and we at InfoCaption are proud and happy to be a platform that promotes just that. We also see it almost as an obligation to act as an enabler for sharing and collaboration as 44% of Sweden's municipalities actually use InfoCaption today. In addition to these municipalities, there are also authorities, regions, and Norwegian municipalities.
In the work to enable collaboration and sharing between businesses in the public sector, we have, among other things, a platform we call Dela where businesses can both upload training courses and download training courses. In some cases, the courses are picked exactly as they are, and in other cases, the course is updated with color, form, and content. On the Dela platform today, for example, you can find courses on onboarding, work environment, delegation, and political training. This month we are not appointing a specific guide as the Guide of the Month; instead, we want to pay tribute to all businesses that have shared content and training to the Dela platform. We also want to highlight businesses that have adopted the content and thus use our shared resources effectively!
The largest contributor to the Dela platform is Ljungby municipality, where Mona Johansson sits in the front seat. Ljungby Municipality has mainly shared basic material and specific training within Social Services. The fact that it is content aimed at Social Services is particularly positive because it is the area within municipalities where InfoCaption is used the most. This is what Mona says about InfoCaption Share:
In the municipalities, we all start from the same laws and regulations, but all municipalities need to create their own guidelines adapted to the conditions in the municipality. However, these routines and guidelines often have a similar structure and content. We, therefore, have good conditions for using the Dela platform when it comes to basic materials, as a shortcut where we can take home and municipally adapt materials from. A prerequisite for being able to take guides is that more people share. More guides also inspire new ways of presenting; in this way, we get more help from each other than just the content itself. Share!
Another contributor is Forshaga municipality, which has created an introductory training course for new employees that have been reused many times by other municipalities. Lina Wiklundh from Forshaga municipality, who is responsible for InfoCaption within the municipality, says this about the Dela platform:
I think the Dela platform is great! We in Forshaga municipality have both shared and downloaded material that we adapted to our business. Municipalities often have the same or similar needs, and by sharing with us, we save a lot of time and resources. In addition, it is a source of inspiration to take part in other people's creative productions!
Another municipality that has been active in Dela is Gällivare Municipality, which also took part in an introductory training course (created by Tranemo Municipality). Magnus Johansson, the system administrator for InfoCaption at Gällivare Municipality, believes that the concept of Dela is great as the opportunity to pick finished products inspires and develops one's own business. He also highlights that commitment is required from all municipalities to keep the content relevant and sends a small message to other municipalities that are sitting on internal gold nuggets that other municipalities would benefit from.
Do you want to share?
We are always working to fill the platform with new and current courses. However, we depend on businesses within the public sector to share training that can benefit other municipalities or businesses. Are you on a course that you have created? Do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to post it. If there are parts that you want to keep internal, we can also support the generalization of the training.

A shared award for the guide of the month
Every month we at InfoCaption appoint the Guide of the Month - a guide that we want to highlight a little extra because of the value it creates in the organization. As a thank you to the person(s) who created the Guide of the Month, we donate SEK 1,000 monthly to the organization Hand in Hand Sweden, which fights poverty by creating more jobs in vulnerable countries. Hand in Hand works with the "help to self-help" model, which is in line with InfoCaption's own mission "to make it easier for employees to help each other".
We at Team InfoCaption think that all content contributors to the SHARE platform absolutely align with our vision: to make it easier for employees to help each other. You all deserve an extra big tribute this month.
